Honey Festival in Včelná pod Boubínem 2026
A honey festival celebrating local beekeeping with mead, honey products, traditional crafts, and live music from Rangers-Plavci and De Facto.
Rangers - Plavci are a Czech folk and country band founded in 1964, widely regarded as one of the most significant acts in the Czech folk scene. During the communist normalisation era they were forced to perform under the name Plavci, reverting to Rangers after 1989. The band sold over two million records and toured internationally - from Argentina and Cuba to Australia. Songs like Zvedněte kotvy (Raise the Anchors), 500 mil and Teče voda have become part of the Czech musical canon.
Rangers - Plavci performed on August 2, 2025 in the village of Tři Sekery at a garden celebration as part of a series of concerts for the band's 60th anniversary.
In October 2025, two anniversary concerts for the 60th anniversary will take place - on October 22 at Měšťanské beseda in Plzen and on October 23 at the U Hasičů Theater in Prague.
In March 2025, Rangers - Plavci launched their 60th anniversary tour with a concert at KD Barikádníků in Prague.
In 2016, Rangers released a new CD called Rangers 2016, which they christened at the U Hasičů Theater on the occasion of Mirka Řihoška's 70th birthday.
