Rangers – Plavci

About

Rangers - Plavci are a Czech folk and country band founded in 1964, widely regarded as one of the most significant acts in the Czech folk scene. During the communist normalisation era they were forced to perform under the name Plavci, reverting to Rangers after 1989. The band sold over two million records and toured internationally - from Argentina and Cuba to Australia. Songs like Zvedněte kotvy (Raise the Anchors), 500 mil and Teče voda have become part of the Czech musical canon.
