Farák Fest 2026
One-day open-air rock festival in Heřmanova Huť featuring Czech bands including Protheus, Miloš Doležal, and The Fialky.
Protheus is the solo project of Czech singer Jan Macků (born 1983, Chrudim), who adopted the name during his years as frontman of the metal band Dymytry (2005-2023). After parting ways with Dymytry at a farewell concert at Prague's O2 Arena in November 2023, Macků has focused entirely on his own band. Under the Protheus name he has released three studio albums - Závislosti (2022), Nepřestávej snít (2023) and Svět lidí (2025) - shifting from metal toward melodic rock and considerably broadening his audience.
Protheus released the single 'Svět lidí' (February 27, 2025), the first part of a planned two-part project; the second part 'Sametový partyzán' followed shortly after.
The band Protheus completed a spring mini-tour 2025 with guest Jacker's at five venues (Pardubice, Písek, Ostrava, Olomouc, Plzeň).
The third studio album Svět lidí (13 tracks) was released on Spotify, for which the band embarked on an autumn tour with guest Jacker's.
Protheus released the live album Forum Karlín 2024 Live, capturing the sold-out mega-concert that closed the joint tour with the band Komunál (28 concerts).
Jan Macků ended his involvement with the band Dymytry in November 2023 with a farewell concert at O2 arena and fully focused on his solo career under the name Protheus.

Open-air rock festival featuring established Czech rock and punk bands on a football pitch. Headliners include Protheus, Jamaron, Znouzectnost and Dark Gamballe.

The 16th edition of Rock for JK Manětín offers a full-day programme with bands across rock genres. The site features a tent village and parking facilities.

Summer concert by the band Protheus beneath the historic Simson tower. Local band Gong Rock will also perform.
