Prof. MUDr. Stanislav Oravec, CSc. is a Slovak physician specialising in internal medicine, lipidology and endocrinology at the First Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University in Bratislava. His research focuses on metabolic diseases and lipid metabolism disorders. He is also widely known as a medical communicator who explains complex topics such as cholesterol and cardiovascular risk to general audiences, including through the popular Slovak podcast TROSHCAST.
In December 2025, Prof. Oravec appeared in episode no. 115 of the TROSHCAST podcast, where he spoke about the thyroid gland and natural substances supporting its function.
In November 2025, TROSHCAST released a short video clip with Prof. Oravec on the topic of what is more dangerous for health than cholesterol.
