Prague Shakespeare Company (PSC), founded in 2008 by artistic director Guy Roberts, is the only professional English-language classical theatre company in the Czech Republic. It performs regularly at the National Theatre's Estates Theatre and at Prague Castle, and has built international co-productions with partners in Germany, Ukraine and beyond. In 2016 PSC became the first theatre company in the world to stage the entire newly accepted Shakespearean canon - 41 plays and 154 sonnets - within a single year.
PSC presents Twelfth Night as part of the Summer Shakespeare Festivals at Prague Castle, directed by Guy Roberts and Kiara Pipino.
PSC performed Macbeth at the Indian festival Bharat Rang Mahotosav in New Delhi and Guntur.
PSC began the year of touring with Twelfth Night and A Midwinter Night's Dream - after Prague, the ensemble performed in Vienna, Amsterdam, and Bremen.
PSC presented King Lear with Lane Davies in the title role at Prague Castle as part of the Summer Shakespeare Festivals.
A multilingual co-production of Hamlet (PSC, bremer shakespeare company, and Odesa Theatre, supported by an EU Creative Europe grant) was presented at the Gdansk Shakespeare Theatre on the occasion of Shakespeare's birthday.
