Petr Štěpán (born 1962) is a Czech singer, guitarist, composer and lyricist, best known as the frontman of gothic rock band XIII. Století from Jihlava, which he co-founded in 1990 out of the punk group HNF (Hrdinové nové fronty). Beyond the band, he writes poetry and prose, has published several books, and composed incidental music for three Shakespeare productions at the Horácké divadlo theatre. He also runs the electronic side-project Hindenburg, and in 2024 released Noc vlků - the band's first studio album in eight years - on Warner Music.
XIII. Century released on September 27, 2024 at Warner Music the album Night of Wolves - the first studio album in eight years since Intacto.
At the Jihlava House of Culture on October 19, 2024, the premiere of the documentary film Saint from Hell 2 - Chaoticon about the life of Petr Štěpán took place, followed by a concert Gothic Iglau.
The album Night of Wolves was recorded and mastered at Benas studio in May 2024 and released under the Warner Music Czech Republic label.
XIII. Century will perform on May 22, 2026 at a joint concert with Pačess and Bára Basiková at KD Drnovice near Vyškov.
On October 27, 2026, a concert of XIII. Century with special guest The March Violets is planned at the Prague Lucerna Music Bar.
