Petr Hájek is a painter from Klatovy who left his career as a plumber at the start of the Covid pandemic to paint full-time. He works in a technique called spontaneous realism, building up layers of paint to give portraits a vivid, personal feel. He signs his work HP Art, and his paintings can be found in the homes of many Czech public figures.
