Peer Gynt is a dramatic poem by Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen, written in 1867. It follows the fantastical adventures of its eponymous hero and is widely known through the incidental music composed by Edvard Grieg, including two orchestral suites. It is performed both as a theatrical production and in concert settings.
