Pavol Hoďa (born 1977, Malacky) is a Slovak saxophonist and clarinettist who studied clarinet at the Bratislava State Conservatory under prof. Peter Drlička and went on to the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. He has performed with the Slovak Philharmonic, the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra and several other ensembles, and is active in jazz as a member of Fats Jazz Band, Bratislava Hot Serenaders and the saxophone quartet Saxophone Syncopators.
Saxophone Syncopators, whose soprano saxophonist is Hoďa, performed a film concert at Rosenfeld Palace in Bánovciach nad Bebravou.
Fats Jazz Band, whose member Hoďa plays clarinet and saxophone, toured nine Slovak cities and also performed in Tbilisi and Budapest.
Saxophone Syncopators made their debut in China with a concert at the Minzu Theater in Beijing.
The album Sax-o-phun (Pavlik Records) was released, the first Slovak CD dedicated exclusively to classical music for saxophone and piano, on which Hoďa plays all types of saxophones.
