About

Pavel Verner is a Czech cellist who trained at the Prague Conservatory under Prof. Pravoslav Sádlo and later at the Academy of Performing Arts (AMU) with Profs. Alexander Večtomov and Stanislav Apolín. He played in the Eberle Quartet from 1988, served as concertmaster of the Prague State Opera and as a member of the Czech Philharmonic, and since 2002 has held the position of deputy concertmaster at the National Theatre in Prague. Alongside his orchestral work he has been a member of the Apollon Quartet since 1993, choirmaster of the St. Thomas Choir, and a cello teacher at the Prague Conservatory since 2007.
