Olie Brice Quartet is a London-based jazz ensemble led by double bassist, composer and improviser Olie Brice, with saxophonist Rachel Musson, pianist Alexander Hawkins and drummer Will Glaser. The group draws on the British avant-garde jazz tradition stretching back to the 1960s, balancing composed material with open-ended free improvisation. Their debut album All It Was captures the band moving fluidly between fragility, urgency and free jazz expression.
