Mumiy Troll
Legendary Russian rock band Mumiy Troll, compared to the Rolling Stones, brings their hits to Prague. A concert featuring frontman Ilya Lagutenko and the band's greatest songs.
Mumiy Troll is a Russian rock band founded in Vladivostok on 16 October 1983 by vocalist and songwriter Ilya Lagutenko. Their debut album Morskaya (1997), recorded in London during the Britpop era, was an immediate commercial success and established the band's signature blend of rock and pop that Lagutenko coined "rockapops". In 2001 they represented Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest, finishing 12th. Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the band publicly opposed the war and suspended touring; they have since performed exclusively outside Russia.
The band performed a concert at the London club Scala - their first performance in Great Britain after resuming the tour.
Mumiy Troll completed a European tour with stops in Berlin (Tempodrom), Vienna (Gasometer), and Antwerp (Zappa).
A performance at London's Electric Brixton is scheduled for September 2026.
In March 2022, the band publicly spoke out against the Russian invasion of Ukraine and announced a suspension of concert activities with the hashtags #нетвойне.
On February 24, 2022, the band published a post with the text "Нет войне. I Vote For Peace" - the day after the start of the Russian invasion.
