Animal ДжаZ is a St. Petersburg rock band founded in 2000, with more than ten studio albums to their name over two decades. Frontman and lyricist Alexander Krasovitsky is the creative core of the group, whose sound - self-described as 'heavy guitar eclectics' - blends alternative rock with electronic and post-grunge textures. The band has shared stages with Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Garbage, and in 2015 won Chartova Dyuzhina awards for both best album and best song of the year.
In August 2024, the band announced a drummer change - Ruslan Timonin took the new position on drums.
In summer 2024, the second part of the diptych was released - the album 'Yan', continuing 'Yin' from 2023.
In October 2024, the band performed in Prague with the Piano version program - hits in a chamber format of singing and electric piano.
The band continues European tours with the Cello version format - concerts with cello took place, among other places, in Berlin and Valencia.
In 2023, the album 'Yin' was released as the first part of a planned duology.
