Michal Hrůza (born 31 August 1971 in Turnov) is a Czech singer, guitarist and songwriter who first made his name as frontman of Ready Kirken, recording five studio albums with the band before leaving in 2006. He then launched a solo career with his own Kapela Hrůzy, releasing six studio albums and contributing music to numerous film and TV productions, including Lidice and the series Vyprávěj. He won the Anděl Award for Male Singer of the Year in 2014.
Michal Hrůza released on December 5, 2025 at Universal Music Group a new studio album Kouzlo samoty - his first studio album in five years.
The title single Kouzlo samoty was accompanied by a music video shot partly during the singer's journey beyond the Arctic Circle, where he embarked on an almost 6,000 km expedition in his used Golf.
The album release party for Kouzlo samoty took place on March 19, 2026 at the Prague Lucerna Music Bar.
In April 2026, Hrůza performed the joint JARO Tour with the band Imodium - concerts took place in Pardubice, Most, Brno, and Frýdek-Místek.
Hrůza composed the music for the Czech comedy Někdo to rád v Plzni directed by Martin Horský, which was successful in cinemas.
