MESSALINA

About

Messalina is a hard rock/heavy band from Karviná, Czech Republic, with roots going back to the 1990s, when they reached the final of the Zlatý Ambrož competition out of 750 bands and received their award from Karel Gott. A 2011 reunion under guitarist, songwriter and bandleader Rudolf Schweiser - formerly a presenter on TV Rebel - brought the group back with an entirely new lineup. The band plays only original material with Czech lyrics, and their catalogue includes the debut album Mizerov and music for several amateur films.
