Mars Red Sky is a psychedelic stoner rock trio from Bordeaux, France, active since 2007. The band - Julien Pras (guitar, vocals), Jimmy Kinast (bass) and Mathieu Gazeau (drums) - has released five studio albums and six EPs, building a steady international following through appearances at Roadburn, Levitation, SXSW and Hellfest.
The band performed at Hellfest 2025 in Clisson, and Hellfest subsequently released a professional recording of the entire concert on YouTube.
Mars Red Sky also performed at the Perche En Rock festival (27. 6. 2025) and at Heavy Psych Sounds Fest in Bologna and Venice (2.-3. 5. 2025).
For spring 2026, the band announced a European tour together with Monkey3 under the banner Monkeys On Mars, with dates in France, Germany, the Netherlands and other countries.
In December 2023, the fifth studio album Dawn of the Dusk (Vicious Circle / Mrs Red Sound) was released, featuring folk singer Helen Ferguson (Queen of the Meadow).
In September 2024, the band performed at RippleFest Texas in Austin together with Truckfighters, Dozer, Bongzilla and Domkraft.
