Lužanská Mass in D Major

About

The Lužany Mass in D major, op. 86, is a sacred work by Antonín Dvořák composed in 1887 for a small country church in Lužany, at the request of his patron Josef Hlávka. Written for soloists, choir and organ, it has an intimate, unassuming character that sets it apart from Dvořák's larger choral works.
