Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886–1969) was a German-American architect and one of the most influential figures of 20th-century modernism. Known for his minimalist aesthetic and the motto "less is more", he designed the Villa Tugendhat (1930) in Brno, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
