About

The London Symphony Orchestra (LSO), founded in 1904, is the oldest of London's symphony orchestras and one of the most recorded ensembles in the world. Based at the Barbican Centre, it gives around 70 concerts there each year and tours internationally. The LSO is equally at home in the concert hall and the recording studio - its film soundtrack credits range from Star Wars to The Lord of the Rings. Sir Antonio Pappano has served as Chief Conductor since the 2024/25 season.
