Divadlo kjógen is a professional theatre ensemble from Brno, founded in 2001, dedicated to performing traditional Japanese kyōgen comedies in Czech. It grew out of a collaboration between Czech playwright and mime Hubert Krejčí and Kyoto master Šigejama Šime of the Ókura school. The company is the only ensemble in Europe that systematically performs kyōgen in its own native language, with actors trained directly by Japanese masters and costumes largely sourced from Japan.
