Kenny Clarke (1914–1985) was an American jazz drummer and one of the founding figures of bebop drumming. He co-founded the Modern Jazz Quartet and was a key presence in the New York bebop scene of the 1940s. He later settled in Paris, where he co-led the Clarke-Boland Big Band.
