Kawabata Makoto is a Japanese guitarist and the founding force behind the psychedelic space rock collective Acid Mothers Temple, formed in the mid-1990s. His guitar work drives the group's sprawling, improvisational sound, blending hypnotic riffs with experimental synthesizer textures. The collective has released over a hundred albums and tours extensively every year.
