Kabaret nahatý Shakespeare is a theatrical comedy by Divadlo Tramtarie from Olomouc, in which five actors humorously retell five of Shakespeare's greatest tragedies - Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Macbeth, Othello and King Lear - in a cabaret format. Directed by Jiří Trnka with dramaturgy by Vladislav Kracík, the show blends original songs, gags and famous monologues. It has sold out nearly three hundred performances and remains the most successful production in the theatre's history. A sequel focusing on Shakespeare's comedies premiered in September 2025.
The Tramtarie Theatre presented on September 18, 2025 the premiere of the production Naked Cabaret Shakespeare 2, a free continuation focused on Shakespeare's comedies, directed by Jiří A. Trnka.
In May 2025, Tramtarie presented for the first time Naked Cabaret Shakespeare under the open sky at the Summer Cinema in Olomouc - the very first collaboration between these two cultural institutions.
By the date of the premiere of the second part, the original Naked Cabaret Shakespeare had almost three hundred sold-out performances to its credit and was celebrating ten years since its creation.
In March 2026, Naked Cabaret Shakespeare 2 performed as a guest at the Municipal Theatre Kolín, where it was also included in the daytime program for schools and seniors.
