Josephine Baker
A tribute to the legendary dancer and singer Josephine Baker, an icon of the 20th century.
Josephine Baker (1906–1975) was an American-born French entertainer — dancer, singer and actress — who rose to fame in the cabarets of 1920s Paris. She became the first Black international superstar and a symbol of freedom and civil rights. During World War II she worked as a spy for the French Resistance.
