Dinah Washington (1924–1961) was an American blues and rhythm-and-blues singer nicknamed "Queen of the Blues". Known for her powerful, expressive voice, she moved effortlessly between blues, jazz, and pop. Her recording "What a Diff'rence a Day Makes" remains one of her most celebrated songs.
