Josef Mladějovský is a visual artist from Ostrava, Czech Republic, who studied painting under František Kowolowski at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava. His work moves beyond painting into objects and spatial installations, combining a conceptual approach with irony and references to modernist abstraction - particularly Kazimir Malevich. In recent years he has focused on scagliola, a plaster imitation of stone inlay, drawing on European cultural tradition and art history.
