Josef Maixner is a businessman and art collector from Kroměříž who built the Pekelné sáně collection, started in 2016 and now comprising over 600 works by Czech and international artists. He named it after a sculpture by Karel Nepraš and shows the collection to the public in his own gallery, housed in a restored former military stable. He selects works himself by visiting artists' studios, guided by personal taste rather than market trends.
