Josef Faltus is a Czech academic sculptor best known for his long-running involvement in the giant sand sculpture exhibition in Písek, held each summer on the Otava riverbank. At the 20th anniversary edition in 2026 he created the piece "Písecká věž - stroj času" (Písek Tower - Time Machine). Over the years he has tackled themes ranging from the city's founding legends to the history of log rafting.
