Jörg Piringer (born 1974, Vienna) is an Austrian writer, sound poet and media artist working at the intersection of electronic music, sound poetry and digital art. He studied computer science at TU Vienna and co-founded the Institute for Transacoustic Research in 1998; he is also a member of the First Vienna Vegetable Orchestra. In 2021 he received the City of Vienna Media Art Prize, and in 2020 he was nominated for the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize.
