Jiří Fiedler was a Czech photographer and researcher who, from the 1960s onward, systematically documented architecture and historical monuments across Czechoslovakia. He focused in particular on Jewish heritage sites - synagogues, cemeteries and other structures - many of which he recorded shortly before they vanished or fell into ruin. His photographs and research remain a key source on the country's lost Jewish heritage.
