About

Javory Beat is the electric formation of siblings Hana and Petr Ulrych, presenting their songs in a big-beat lineup - electric guitar, bass and keyboards instead of the traditional violin and dulcimer. It has run alongside the acoustic Javory since 2010; the original group was founded by Petr Ulrych in 1974, drawing on Moravian folk music. Over more than sixty years on stage the Ulrych siblings have earned, among other honours, the Silver Bratislava Lyre (1976) and the Alfréd Radok Award for the musical Koločava (2001).
