Jaromír Konečný is a slam poet who emigrated to Germany in 1982 and became a key figure in the German-language slam scene. He has won over 150 poetry slams and twice finished as runner-up at the German-speaking countries championship. He also played a significant role in bringing slam poetry to the Czech Republic. His books published in Czech include Moravská rapsodie, Hiphop a smuteční marš and Tuhej tulipán.
