The Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava (JFO) is a symphony orchestra based in Ostrava, Czech Republic, founded in 1954 and named after composer Leoš Janáček. It ranks among the country's leading orchestras, known for its distinctive Bohemian sound and a repertoire stretching from late Romanticism to contemporary music. From the 2026/27 season, Daniel Raiskin serves as Chief Conductor and Artistic Director, having already led the orchestra as principal guest conductor since 2024. The orchestra's recordings for Linn Records, Supraphon and CPO have earned the BBC Music Magazine Award and the Diapason d'Or de l'Année.
JFO successfully completed its historically first tour of Great Britain - in eight days it performed seven concerts in Birmingham, Guildford, Bristol, Bradford, Cheltenham, Sheffield and London.
