An evening of music, theatre, and entertainment at Uherčice Castle. A night-time celebration in the castle courtyard.
Jan Koumar (born 1978, Jihlava) is a Czech philosopher, historian, painter and photographer. He studied historical sociology and applied ethics at the Faculty of Humanities of Charles University in Prague, and his research focuses on practical philosophy and the history of Moravian nobility - above all the Italian-origin Collalto family. Alongside his academic work he produces oil paintings, charcoal and pastel drawings, digital photography and computer graphics.
In June 2025, Koumar gave a lecture at KD Okříšky about the relationship of the Collaltos to Okříšky; the lecture was recorded on YouTube.
In April 2025, he gave a lecture at the University Centre MUNI in Telč about the thousand-year history of the Collalto family.
In 2025, the National Heritage Institute published Koumar's monograph "Collaltové. An Italian Family in Moravia".
In 2025, Koumar's article about the life of employees of the Collalto estate was published in the journal Český lid.
In January 2025, he gave a lecture at Kněžice Castle about the history of the Collaltos in the 19th and 20th centuries.
