Jan I. Brueghel (1568–1625), nicknamed "Velvet" and "Flower" Brueghel, was a Flemish painter and son of Pieter Bruegel the Elder. He is celebrated for his intricately detailed flower still lifes and allegorical compositions, and collaborated closely with Peter Paul Rubens.
