HENYCH666 is the metal project of Prague bassist and vocalist Vlasta Henych (born 1962), who founded it in 2010 after leaving TÖRR - a band he had shaped for over two decades across twelve albums. Henych is widely regarded as a pioneer of black metal in former Czechoslovakia; his new outfit blends thrash, groove and industrial metal. The debut maxi-single Psychonaut appeared in 2011, a second single followed in 2016, and since 2023 the band has been active again with a new line-up.
HENYCH666 performed at the Basinfirefest 2025 festival in Spálené Poříčí (June 27, 2025) alongside bands such as Doro, Dark Tranquillity, and Tiamat.
HENYCH666 performed at M.O.A. Metal Open Air VIII in Modlíkov (July 5, 2025).
In October 2024, Warner Music released a remastered reissue of the album TÖRR 'Institut klinické smrti' (1991) on CD, LP, and Spotify; HENYCH666 performed the entire album live at Prague's Barča on October 18, 2024.
HENYCH666 performed at MetalGate Czech Death Fest 2024 in Prague (June 13, 2024).
After three years of forced hiatus caused by the COVID pandemic, HENYCH666 returned in 2023 in a new lineup: Vlasta Henych, guitarists Aleš Hampl and Yan Havlín, drummer Petr 'Herr' Miler.
