Goatburner

About

Goatburner is a Finnish death metal duo from Helsinki, active since 2017. The band consists of guitarist and vocalist Kaos (Keijo Niinimaa, also known from Rotten Sound and Morbid Evils) and drummer Spider (Jaakko Forsman of Ratface and Skulmagot). Their sound fuses old-school death metal with grindcore, sludge and powerviolence into something relentlessly heavy. Two full-lengths - Extreme Conditions (2019) and FATAL (2023) - are out on Time to Kill Records.

Goatburner announced a mini-LP compilation Time of Danger (October 9, 2026, Time to Kill Records), which for the first time combines the EP Danger (2022) and Time to Burn (2018) in one release, newly remastered by Keijo Niinimäem.

As the first single from Time of Danger, the band released the track Brutal Awakening.

Goatburner will perform as support on part of the Napalm Death Campaign for Musical Destruction European tour in November and December 2026, including in Krakow (November 20) and Jaroměř (November 21).

The second album FATAL was released on October 6, 2023 on Time to Kill Records; it was recorded and mixed by Kaos in his own studio Chaotic Doom Cave, mastering was done by Scott Hull.

After the release of FATAL, the band completed a three-day tour of Brazil with NervoChaos, Test, and Sodoma as the first tour for the new album.
