Kirlian Camera

The Brute is an electro-rock act from Lucerne, Switzerland, founded in 2018 by Daniel Gierke, with members also based in Germany. Their sound layers synthesizers and cinematic soundscapes over rock, blues and pop, drawing comparisons to a darker take on Depeche Mode. The debut album "Brute : One" came paired with the short music film "Momentum To Die", shot on the original Goldfinger Bond film sets in the Swiss Alps. In 2025 the band announced their first proper tour and a second album, "Fallen".
On March 12, 2025, The Brute livestreamed the premiere of the music video for the single "Forgotten People" from the upcoming album Fallen.
The band announced their first live performances for 2025, including shows in Brno and Prague.
At the Reborn festival in Germany, The Brute performed live for the first time in over 20 years and presented three new songs from the album Fallen.
Guitarist Holly and keyboardist Thomas Borchert became official members of The Brute's live lineup.
The Brute released the compilation "6122" as a tribute to Andy Fletcher from Depeche Mode; 50% of the proceeds go to children's charities.
