FRET is a four-piece hard rock and stoner rock band from Rakovník, active in their current line-up since 2020. They play classic hard rock with a heavy modern edge and sing exclusively in Czech. The band broke through by winning the national band competition Skutečná liga 2023 and released their debut album Vesnickej Hollywood on limited red vinyl.
FRET perform as opening acts for Škwor at summer open-air concerts in Strakonice (June 19) and Chomutov (August 1, 2026).
The band released the single Děda Neplecha as a first preview of the upcoming second album, recorded at HollyCross Studio Veleliby.
FRET performed a record number of concerts and made their first live broadcast appearance on radio station Beat with the songs Veganskej Myslivec and Vesnickej Hollywood.
The debut album Vesnickej Hollywood was released on limited red vinyl records; it was premiered at the home concert Beatová Nálož in Rakovník.
FRET won the nationwide competition Skutečná liga and became the best band of 2023; in the same year they performed as opening act for the band DOGA.
