About

Framus Five is a Prague rock band founded in 1963 and led by singer-guitarist Michal Prokop. From the late 1960s the group pioneered blues, soul and rhythm and blues in Czechoslovakia, navigating the political constraints of the Normalization era. The band dissolved twice - in 1971 and 1990 - before regrouping each time, and has been active continuously since 2000. In spring 2025 they released Ostraka, their tenth studio album.
