Jan Kovářík & Enrico Minguzzi - Specimens
A dialogue between Czech sculptor Jan Kovářík and Italian painter Enrico Minguzzi, contrasting biomorphic forms with textured paintings inspired by nature and abstraction.
Enrico Minguzzi (b. 1981, Cotignola) is an Italian painter based in Bagnacavallo. He builds his paintings through patient overlapping of glazes - transparent, thin layers of matter. His work questions nature and its relationship with humans, depicting natural phenomena and mutations at a molecular level that can appear almost alien. He was introduced to Czech audiences through the group exhibition Preparing for Darkness at Museum Kampa in Prague.
