They were among the best-selling acts of the 1980s, with over 100 million records sold, 18 US hit singles and 21 UK Top 20 entries. Pioneers of the music video era and central figures of the MTV-driven Second British Invasion, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022.
