Echo & the Bunnymen are a British post-punk and new wave band from Liverpool, formed in 1978. Known for their atmospheric blend of brooding guitars, lush arrangements and Ian McCulloch's distinctive baritone voice, they became one of the defining acts of the early 1980s alternative scene. Their album Ocean Rain (1984) and the song The Killing Moon remain their most celebrated works.
