Don Miguel Ruiz (born Miguel Ángel Ruiz Macías, August 27, 1952, Tijuana) is a Mexican author and spiritual teacher rooted in the Toltec tradition. His 1997 book The Four Agreements spent over a decade on the New York Times bestseller list and has been published in 52 languages. Before turning to spiritual teaching, he practiced neurosurgery - a near-fatal car accident led him back to his ancestral wisdom. In 2018, Watkins magazine listed him among the 100 Most Spiritually Influential Living People.
