The Four Agreements
A two-hour performance exploring the Four Agreements of Toltec shaman Don Miguel Ruiz, touching on love, relationships, and friendship. A benefit show featuring Jaroslav Dušek and colleagues, infused with humour.
Don Miguel Ruiz (born Miguel Ángel Ruiz Macías, August 27, 1952, Tijuana) is a Mexican author and spiritual teacher rooted in the Toltec tradition. His 1997 book The Four Agreements spent over a decade on the New York Times bestseller list and has been published in 52 languages. Before turning to spiritual teaching, he practiced neurosurgery - a near-fatal car accident led him back to his ancestral wisdom. In 2018, Watkins magazine listed him among the 100 Most Spiritually Influential Living People.
Don Miguel Ruiz appeared on the Spirituality+Health podcast, where he discussed the Five Agreements and the nature of energy with Rabbi Rami; the interview was published in the magazine's January/February 2024 issue.
Together with Barbara Emrys, he published the book Grief and Renewal: Finding Beauty and Balance in Loss, focused on the Toltec approach to loss and grief.
Watkins magazine included him on the list of 100 most influential living spiritual figures in the world.
