David "King of Sludge" Parks is the drummer of New York trio Too Many Zooz, the self-described inventors of brass house - a genre fusing jazz, EDM and punk. He met saxophonist Leo Pellegrino while busking in the New York subway and co-founded the band in 2013; his driving percussion anchors the trio's raw, high-energy sound. Too Many Zooz broke through after a 2014 Union Square subway video went viral, and later appeared on Beyoncé's album Lemonade.
Too Many Zooz will perform on June 26, 2026 at the Jazz à Vienne festival in France and on June 30 at the Brno Metro Music Bar.
Too Many Zooz launched in January 2026 a joint tour Too Many Flooz Tour with the band The Floozies, which included two series of stops across the USA.
At the turn of January and February 2025, Too Many Zooz conducted a joint tour Moon Zooz Tour with the band Moon Hooch, which ended in Denver.
In March 2024, Too Many Zooz released their second studio album Retail Therapy with thirteen tracks and guests such as Moon Hooch or Lucky Chops.
In 2024, Too Many Zooz performed 86 concerts, which is their record for the number of performances in a year recorded on Songkick.
