Ctirad Macháně is a multi-instrumentalist from Nový Bor who has made the handpan the centre of his solo work. He started playing at age three and over the years added piano, guitar and drums. His solo pieces layer handpan with ambient field recordings from the Lusatian Mountains, and he also performs as a percussionist alongside Šimon Bilina in the project Ubuntu.
