About

Starobřeclavská cimbálová muzika is a dulcimer band from the Podluží region of South Moravia, founded in 1974 around fiddler Jožka Ščuka the younger. Over its history more than fifty musicians have played in its ranks. The band focuses on authentic folk songs and dances from Podluží, while also drawing on traditions from broader Moravia, Bohemia, Slovakia and Hungary.

    The band performed at Pálavské Vinobraní 2025 in Mikulov, where it played from 18:00 to 22:30.

    Starobřeclavská CM participated in Svatomartinské Mikulova 2025, where it played in the square at the ceremonial opening and opening of Svatomartinské wine.

    The band performed at the Tříkrálový concert of cimbalom music in Valtice together with Mateničkami and CM Kolík ZUŠ Mikulov.
