Chanson Tria Coucou

About

Chanson Trio Coucou is a Czech professional ensemble from Pardubice, founded in 2013, blending classical music, chanson and jazz. It was built around mezzo-soprano Radka Rubešová - a graduate of Brno's JAMU and a former student at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg - and composer, pianist and accordionist Martin Kudrna. The repertoire combines Kudrna's own arrangements of French chansons with original compositions, including settings of poems by Apollinaire and Verlaine. The group performs both in chamber format and alongside a string quartet or symphony orchestra.
