Autumn City Celebrations
The Chamber Philharmonic of Pardubice presents French chansons on Pernštýn Square as part of the autumn city celebrations, featuring Chanson Trio Coucou and vocalist Radka Rubešová.
Chanson Trio Coucou is a Czech professional ensemble from Pardubice, founded in 2013, blending classical music, chanson and jazz. It was built around mezzo-soprano Radka Rubešová - a graduate of Brno's JAMU and a former student at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg - and composer, pianist and accordionist Martin Kudrna. The repertoire combines Kudrna's own arrangements of French chansons with original compositions, including settings of poems by Apollinaire and Verlaine. The group performs both in chamber format and alongside a string quartet or symphony orchestra.
Trio Coucou performed on January 16, 2025 with the Symphony Orchestra of the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Zlín in the program A Quick Jump to Paris at the Zlín Congress Center.
Trio opened the year with a New Year's concert in Letovice on January 9, 2025.
Trio Coucou performed on October 31, 2024 at the Municipal Theater Mladá Boleslav with a program featuring original compositions to texts by Apollinaire and Verlaine.
The subscription cycle of the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic with the joint program of Trio Coucou was sold out by subscribers; additional tickets went on sale from August 5, 2024.
Trio Coucou had an additional concert performance scheduled in May 2025.
