Chad Smith is the vocalist and bassist of Las Vegas heavy metal band Hemlock, which he co-founded with his brother Brian in 1993. The band built its reputation through relentless self-funded touring - sharing stages with Slayer, Slipknot, Ministry and Lamb of God - without ever signing to a major label. Smith writes the lyrics, handles graphic design and books the tours himself, making him the driving force behind the band's three-decade run.
Hemlock released a new music video for the song "Crooked Smile" and announced a vinyl edition of the album Pigeonholed for its 25th anniversary - for the first time in the band's history on vinyl.
The band completed a spring tour "Pigeonholed Spring Tour" across the USA and is preparing a five-week European tour for summer 2026, including a performance at Till-Fest in Leipzig.
