CBC Big Band (Czech Big Company) is a professional jazz orchestra from České Budějovice, founded in 2005 by trumpeter and bandleader Miroslav Surka. Made up of leading Czech soloists, the ensemble works in the swing big band tradition and is a regular fixture at the South Bohemian Jazz Festival. Under Surka's direction the orchestra has shared the stage with world-class jazz trumpeters Bobby Shew, James Morrison and Arturo Sandoval.
CBC Big Band performed at the 15th annual South Bohemian Jazz Festival in Ceske Budejovice, where they accompanied violinist Josef Vejvoda during the celebration of his 80th birthday.
