About

Cappella Mariana is a Czech chamber vocal ensemble founded in 2008, specialising in medieval and Renaissance polyphony and early Baroque vocal music. Under the artistic direction of Vojtěch Semerád, the group champions neglected works from the Italian, Flemish and English Renaissance, performing regularly at leading early-music festivals across Europe - from Oude Muziek Utrecht to Laus Polyphoniae Antwerp. Its recordings appear on Supraphon, Etcetera and Musique en Wallonie; in 2024 the ensemble won both the Czech Anděl Award (Classical category) and the French Diapason d'Or.
